War diary

The projects I was working on before February 24 were put on pause, because my life has changed beyond recognition. After going through the absolute shock of the first days of the war, I started a diary to reflect and process all emotions and experiences that are certainly a reaction to everything that is happening. In this diary, there are works in which I tried to reflect the enormous pain for the death of people and cities in Ukraine, the pain for the war that the government of my country has unleashed. But in addition, in these works there is also pain for people in Russia, pain for friends who were forced to leave their homes and their country, for those who are subject to the most powerful influence of propaganda that the government and the state have spread throughout the country. And also, pain for the division and disunity of the Russian society, between those who support the government, those who are in opposition, and those who had to leave the country after February 24. The Russian society is faced with a total misunderstanding within itself.

After February 24, in this new reality, I had absolutely no resources. But the need to record my experiences and emotions was simply vital. Therefore, I created the works in the diary with my hands, they are drawings. Handwork is a kind of art therapy. It helped me to cope with the incredible stress of these three months. So far, these works are acute emotions of the first reaction.
